This custom built-in office unit was designed to provide a combination of storage and display within an existing residential interior. Extending across the wall and fitted to the room's angled ceiling, the piece combines walnut with clean lines and subtle copper inlay.

Designed and fabricated by Parallel Studios in collaboration with the homeowner, the unit features floating walnut shelves with concealed supports, dovetailed drawers, and custom cabinetry. Solid walnut and walnut veneer are used throughout, with recessed shadow lines and copper inlaid details adding definition to the design.

A custom file-folder hanging system incorporates copper inlay, bringing the same detailing into the functional elements of the cabinetry. Soft-close and push-to-open doors and drawers provide ease of use while maintaining a clean, hardware-free appearance. Open shelving, enclosed storage, and tailored interior fittings make full use of the available space.
